Ed. Note – I stole this from work. I wrote it this morning for my real job at USTA Texas.
Wayne Bryan, father of the world’s top-ranked doubles team, says there are two good things that happen when you take a kid to a college tennis match: they fall in love with tennis as a team sport and they start to think about college. Well, over the next two week there will be plenty of opportunities to do this as the NCAA Tournament begins this week.

The NCAA Division II Tennis Championships begin this week in Austin and Abilene, as St. Edward’s and Abilene Christian will host regional championships. There are also some Texas teams competing just across the Oklahoma border in Tahlequah.
The Division I brackets were announced Tuesday with Texas (men), Baylor (men and women) and Texas A&M (men) hosting. Of course plenty of Texas teams are represented. On the men’s side there are: Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, TCU, UTSA and Prairie View A&M. The women are: Baylor, Texas, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU and North Texas. We will add these regionals to the list below when the times are finalized.
Both Trinity (men) and UT-Tyler (men and women) have qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament. The bracket for those events will be announced Monday, May 10. We will add that information as becomes available.
Note: All times local
